Q: Is there anything I can do to help prevent pests in my home?

Q: I am expecting a child. Will the pesticides harm my baby?
A:

All products we use have no known problems relating to pregnant women. We do advise you consult your doctor before services are performed. Ace Exterminating will be happy to provide you with a label and material safety data sheet to review with your doctor. If you are still concerned, Ace Exterminating offers several service options that exclude interior treatments. Call us to discuss your situation.

Q: Are your pest control materials safe?
A:

Pesticides are designed to kill and Federal laws forbid us from using the word "safe" to describe our materials. Pesticides can, however, be used carefully and according to label directions with little or no impact on people, pets or plants. We will gladly provide you with Material Safety Data Sheets and label copies which have information on the active ingredients, level of toxicity and other data.

Q: I found a bug and need to know if it is nesting in my house.
A:

There are many places you can go to get answers. The local State Extension office can help. Even your zoo can often provide answers. The easiest method is to simply have us check out the problem for you. Our company philosophy is to provide only what the customer requires. If you don’t have a problem we won’t try to sell you a service that you don’t need. We’ll identify the bug and tell you how to correct the problem.

Q: Why can't I do my own pest control?
A:

You can! However, most people lack the knowledge and training that professionals have to treat pest problems effectively. We often see people over-use pesticides when the problem could have been corrected more simply. The professional’s job is to identify the pest and develop a plan of action that will resolve the issue. It’s our full time and only job. Note: Follow all label directions carefully.

Q: What's the best kind of pesticide to buy?
A:

It all depends upon what pest you are trying to control. Our advice is to carefully read the label to see if your pest is listed.

Next, read the ingredients. You'll need to know something about pesticides, otherwise you may be misled by the picture or brand name. Anything listed as "House and Garden" usually contain no residuals and do not usually provide long-term protection. "Ant and Roach" sprays often contain residuals, but not always.

Confused? Call Ace Exterminating and we'll help you with your purchase.
